Hondacare Assistance

All new Honda Motorcycles imported into the UK by Honda are supplied with Hondacare Assistance for two years from the first date of registration. Hondacare Assistance is provided to ensure you have assistance when you need it most.

Full details of Hondacare Assistance is supplied with your Honda Owners card. Honda Owners cards are issued during the first two years from the first date of registration. If you have not received your Honda owners card please contact our Contact Centre on : 0845 200 8000.

Honda has joined force with The Automobile Association (AA), the UK's leading breakdown assistance organisation, to bring you Hondacare Assistance, our comprehensive roadside assistance package, available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Who is covered by Hondacare Assistance

Hondacare assistance is motorcycle based so it covers anyone riding your Honda motorcycle with your permission. All new motorcycles supplied by Honda (UK) are covered by Hondacare Assistance for the duration of your warranty period, and this starts from the date of original registration.

If you sell your motorcycle within the period of cover, the new owner can take advantage of the unexpired free Hondacare Assistance cover which remains with the motorcycle until the warranty expiry date.

Hondacare Assistance UK benefits

Roadside Assistance
If your motorcycle breaks down at the roadside and is immobilised, we will send an AA patrol or appointed agent to get you back on the road. In the exceptional circumstances where an 'on-the-spot' repair is not possible and your motorcycle cannot be repaired locally within a reasonable time, you can utilise the Relay service.

Home Start
If your motorcycle breaks down at home, Home Start will bring help to you doorstep. If your motorcycle can't be repaired, the AA will transport your motorcycle to the nearest authorised Honda motorcycle dealer, or another destination of your choice, whichever is the nearer. (Please note the option of Relay is not available for Home Start breakdowns, that is where your motorcycle is within ¼ mile of your home).

Relay
If a prompt local repair is not possible, we will arrange onward passage for you and up to 2 passengers, and your motorcycle to any single destination in the UK mainland or Northern Ireland. This includes the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, however any ferry costs must be borne by you.

Message Service
If you wish, we will also get a message to a relative or colleague to let them know what is happening.

European Cover
If you wish to take your motorcycle abroad, we recommend that you take out AA Five Star Cover. To find out more information about this comprehensive European cover, please call 0800 444 500.
(Please note, AA Five Star is only available for motorcycles of 200cc and above).
